The conviction is more likely to generate a sympathy wave for IK than hurt him but then again the election won't be free or fair.

PTI general secretary has claimed victory. However they still need defections from other parties because they don't have a majority on their own as they are not allocated the 70 women+minority PR seats because they are de facto independents.

Still won't beat that time the Pakistani establishment refused to let the Awami League govern after they swept East Pakistan and won a majority on their own in terms of patheticness.
