Very good news. Since the usual anti Ukraine mouthbreathers will be busy screaming about how much they love Israel, this should pass without much trouble.

Not good actually. One of the main critiques of the counteroffensive was that they used new brigades stuffed with green conscripts instead of reinforcing the battered but battle tested "old" brigades. These new brigades would suffer disproportionate casualties before they get used to and adapt to the realities of the battlefield.

A brilliant operation and there is no better time to reveal it than now with world's attention elsewhere.

The source is Crybar so take it with a grain of salt, but huge news if true.

There is a majority in Congress for continued Ukraine aid. It will take a lot of screaming and performative handwringing but it will eventually pass. The only question is when and at what cost.

It's a good thing there wasn't social media during the past world wars because the endless cycle of doom in winter followed by boundless optimism during summer would be unbearable.

Indian made artillery shells used by Ukraine. Most likely sold through a third party arms dealer. So much #multipolarity

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/02/01/eu-ukraine-brussels-summit-orban/

"EU approves $50 billion support package for Ukraine"

It seems the compromise is: Since the 50 billion EUR economic aid to Ukraine will be sent over several years, the money will need to be approved on a year-by-year basis which means Orban will have a chance to veto the aid every year the next few years.

50 billion EUR is not that much if you split it over several years but it is better than nothing for Ukraine.

Orban folded like a lawn chair, because all he gets is a 'debate' on the aid annually-not a vote.

Ah, thanks for clarifying.  I must have misread what the deal was.  I have to dig into it but it could be after 2 years there are some veto rights for Hungary.  I am not sure since the reporting is not clear on this.
Irrelevant. As long as Tusk is in power in Poland no one will protect Hungary in the EU. He folded and he will fold again.

Reminder that no matter how hard you fight or shill for Russia, they will still dump you like a used sock once you've outlived your usefulness.
