After listening to his speech tonight, I am sure he will not win the general election. He is VERY liberal, oh my God. His speech sounded like a socialist talking! There's no way he gets by the general election. I actually think he may be a weaker candidate, once people learn about his plans, than Hillary. evilmexicandictator may actually be right with his map. He's way too liberal, my goodness! He makes Kerry look conservative!

I dont think he'll be able to take Kentucky, Tennessee, and Kansas and all that junk but he will be the strongest candidate in November. Polls clearly show he does better in Iowa, Nevada, Wisconsin, Oregon, New Hampshire, Missouri, and Ohio [tho he still loses it] and the democrats even lead in North Carolina [although by 1 point]. I wouldnt be surprised if November is a big blowout for the democrats, brought on by 8 years of an unpopular republican President and an unpopular unjustified war.

The Republicans on this board are stuck in a 2002/2004 mindset.

Public opinion has changed drasticlly over the past 3-4 years, Bush has gotten incredibly unpopular since 2004 (as has the Iraq War), we are slipping into recession, and there is a lot of Republican fatigue at this point.

Obama wins all the Kerry states + Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, Virginia, and probably Missouri.  Florida is possible but unlikely.

I dont see why not...if they do win it it'll be incredibly close. Florida not so sure about...I think McCain has the sunshine state in the bag.
