New England generally swung hard and I think a lot of it is just the gap between Candidate Trump and President Trump. Candidate Trump was easy to see as an irreligious softliner on social issues while President Trump had just finished appointing a woman hell-bent on overturning Roe on the SCOTUS. Trump seemed way harsher on abortion as president than before.
