The tortured data graph is unconvincing but this part is good:

But the histories have been rewritten and the narratives re-construed to make them seem inevitable. It all fits so simply like a puzzle: Reagan was the knight on a horse here to stop staglfation, Clinton the country bumpkin Southerner and his centrism would finally defeat Reaganism, and Obama of course...how could he lose? Have you heard his speeches!? There is nobody like Obama out there today.

Elections are nothing more than a coin toss or a political version of musical chairs. Voters base their political decisions on who they are rather than what they think; an expression the social identity they choose. Voters choose parties which represent their culture, community, and identity and stay with their political tribe long after they have ceased to serve their interests.

Now Hillary Clinton is winning voters in the Democrat Party given that she is already supported by 33% of the electorate and is the second choice candidate of other challengers.  She wins a similar majority of independents as Obama, and she brings some disgruntled Bush Republicans over.
Sound familiar?
How did that pan out?
