This is so American. Instead of encouraging city/infrastructure planning and lifestyle changes, the government is promoting coal-powered behemoths that maybe 1% of the population has a legitimate use for.
This is the silliest post I have ever read on this forum

I work at Home Depot, in a community of about 100k

Every day we get hundreds of regular customers who drive full size pickups. Plumbers, electricians, construction workers, small business owners, lawn companies, landlords, etc. Plus my community is a hub city for several smaller towns who rely on farming. Not to mention the many families who like to tow boats, trailers, or just like the convenience.

Sure, there are guys who drive full sized pickups who don’t need them. My dream vehicle is an F150 and I’m a teacher, so I’ll end up one of them.

Coal powered? No vehicle in America is coal powered. That makes no sense. They are powered by oil/gas. Besides Biden was testing a fully electric truck. And good for him. The F150 has been the most popular and best selling vehicle in the United States for decades. Plenty of good paying factories build them here in the US. A great way to connect with blue collar workers in Michigan and Texas

What do you mean “lifestyle choices”? Are yo um saying move away from suburbs and small towns? That’ll never happen. Anyone who mentions it will lose re-election to a conservative who’ll strip the welfare net away and destroy public education.

But let’s stick it to the neoliberals like Biden right?

I think he's arguing that coal would produce most of the electricity that would power the Lightning.
