Yeah, assuming in good faith that this is an attempt to solve anything housing-related when we just had a perfectly reasonable bill addressing that very issue on the floor, surely it could have been done without the dozens of provisions for unrelated issues. Not to mention the provisions that unconstitutionally target specific people or other entities.

It's great to see that funding I requested to support Lincoln residents and dollar store businesses has been included in the bill. This is the difference having an authentic Senator from the region and not parachuted in makes.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t your predecessor Pericles?

Nay on Ishan's amendment.

In violation of typical floor procedure there are i believe 3 amendments floating around, all at the same time, and purportedly only one is subject to a vote and I cant tell which.

So im objecting to all and voting nay on all just to cover my bases. There is so much unconstitutional garbage in this "bill".

Allow me to clear this up. The current vote is on Ishan’s amendment. After that vote, we will vote on Calamity’s amendment, after which we will vote on the motion to table. Going forward, I would advise Senators not to file amendments until after a vote has concluded.

It would also be advisable for whoever the presiding officer is, when opening votes, to quote the amendment being voted on to clear up any potential for confusion.

Mr. R's amendment is adopted.

Introducing an amendment to strike the following two provisions:

Quote
51. $1,000,000,000 shall be allocated for the complete and utter destruction of California using high explosives;

Quote
53. $50,000,000 shall be designated to an immigration campaign to encourage people who are Indian to settle in Mingo County, West Virginia by expelling all residents of Mingo County who said they were white on the 2020 Census;

I think it goes without saying that we should leave our fellow citizens be.

PPT hat back on to give the rest of the Senate 24 hours to object.

Scrambling to catch up on this one thing in particular it seems – rules tab might not help much at this point. Maybe I should look into getting a tattoo.

Since no Senator has offered to sponsor within the first 48 hours, the bill is tabled.
