It’s rather awkward to have to grandfather individual situations into the constitution like this, but I’m not certain that we have much of a choice when the alternative is preventing legally eligible citizens from voting. My AFE break might have negatively affected my overall understanding of the situation during the debate over the Constitution, such as it was, and if that is the case that’s naturally on me. Not sure where the rest of the House stands.
