Malaysia has some serious problems. The judiciary isn't independent, and the government is officially racist. There's also the fact that the leader of the opposition gets accused of sodomy on a pretty regular basis.

Some things are simple, like free trade is good.

I will be voting against this bill

Since you love to think in terms of power, I'll put it this way:

Free trade is a useful tool internationally. Should we be compromising that by offering free trade to everyone, whether they like us or not?
