Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios

We watch a lot of R-rated movies in class, for some reason.

I took my brother and his best friend to see How to Train Your Dragon. It was rather typical fare, but quite good as far as such things go. I was pleasantly surprised.

97% on RT. Shouldn't be that surprising.

Yeah, I noticed that afterwards.

It's more of a kids' film than WALL-E was. I suspect I liked WALL-E more than my brother did.

Xahar: you should be glad you get to see Almodovar. But sad that you didn't get to see one of his more acclaimed works. Although, I've been wanting to catch that one for quite a while.

My Spanish teacher has a bunch of others, but she won't let us see them.

Shrek: The Final Chapter - Wow.  This movie was absolutely amazing.  It was nothing but laughs from start to finish, and a really great way to finish the series.  I loved it.

Finish?

There'll be more Shrek movies.

Toy Story 3

It seemed a bit too similar to Toy Story 2 in some parts, but it was nonetheless excellent. Rather darker, too, much like all of Pixar's work from WALL-E on.

I watched Batman and Robin, if 10 minutes counts. That film was terrible.

Salt reminds me of an underappreciated 1987 film...

The Living Daylights was a great film.

Il Postino

It wasn't bad at all. Liked observing the DC election posters scattered about.

The Untouchables

Kind of silly and kind of mindless, but excellent nonetheless. Probably the most intense film I've ever seen.

There was a huge line for Tron today. I did not see that coming.

You know I just realized that movie is basically a 16-year old boy's dream movie. Imagine how hot a 16-year old boy would find them, and it's not a kiddie chick flick like almost every movie with mostly teenage girls in the cast.

I find the whole idea of The King's Speech rather repulsive.

I just got back from seeing Scream 4.

"You forgot one rule: Don't mess with the f******g original."

Awesome movie for all you horror buffs out there.

New decade. New rules.

It has Alison Brie in it, so it's probably worth watching just for that.

She was also in episodes of Hannah Montana.

I have seen part of the episode in question. It was, of course, terrible.

That film could be described in many ways. "Very good" is not one of them.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II - it's depressing, that the series is over.  It was a major part of my childhood, and now it's done.

I don't really get this line of reasoning. Wasn't it over when the last book came out?

Scarface (1983)

Certainly it's entertaining, and Al Pacino makes his character interesting. Unfortunately, all the other characters are flat as cardboard; Michelle Pfeiffer's is particularly bad. The whole movie is 2½ hours of glorification of violence with a bit tacked on at the end to hastily and unconvincingly say that all of that cool stuff that happened before is actually bad. It's not a movie with any sort of real merit.

A little bit of Ken Jeong goes a very long way. He can be funny, but mostly he's just annoying.

Ive always felt it was an overrated movie as well. The tangential, incestuous subplot with Tony and his sister was just really weird also.

That felt wholly unnecessary; I didn't watch the movie for the supporting characters.

Licence to Kill.

(I still prefer Living Daylights, but it was good.)

It's certainly a good movie; it reminds me of Quantum of Solace in a lot of ways, but then I liked Quantum of Solace, so take that as you will. It's not Living Daylights, but very few movies in the series have been. Licence to Kill is competently made in all facets, which is more than can be said for the Moore or Brosnan movies that preceded and followed it. It's a very dated movie (albeit not to the extent of The Living Daylights), but I'm fine with that.
