I've never heard of any candidate other than Harris. Perhaps it's because I read the Chronicle.

What were the arguments for Prop 16? I doubt almost 48% of Californians would vote for something based only on "OMG SOCIALISM!"

"Taxpayers have a right to vote before GOVERNMENT RUN ELECTRICITY is imposed."

Pleasantly surprised that it lost.

FWIW, my vote:

13: Yes (Passed)
14: No (Passed)
15: Yes (Failed)
16: No (Failed)
17: No (Failed)

So it was nothing but "OMG SOCIALISM" after all?

Well, they crouched it in words like "right to vote" that could have taken in the uninformed, but yeah, basically.

How'd you vote on the cardroom measure? To me it seemed like an politically easy source of revenue, so why not...

Yeah, my thoughts too. Did it pass?

Under Prop 14, the California Attorney General race would be 1,148 votes away from being an R-R race.

Things will not end well.
