No, the point was to mock Glenn Beck, not the everybody on the right.

well my interpretation is different from yours.
As soon as he said "slippery slope" I started to think about how the Bush Administration would often use such techniques order to keep their conservative troops in line.

It is a common fallacy that most politicians on both sides use.

For Dems it was, "Seniors will lose social security if it is partially privatized for those under 55."

Privatizing social security would have been an unmitigated disaster right about now.

That wasn't the point of the post, though yes, the way they privatized it wouldn't have been very good in the current climate.
