that's a fairly plausible map if Obamamania continues and the Dems have a solid victory.  I wouldn't predict it at this point, but I don't think it's all that farfetched at all.  Just a few point swing would bring something pretty close to that map to fruition.

louisiana has a large black population.  I have to admit that the impact of Katrina may have changed the calculus in that state to where it's no longer winnable even in a solid dem victory.  Kentucky might also be a stretch, despite some Democratic victories there of late.  When push comes to shove, unless the reps look to be total losers a few of those states are unlikely to go dem at this point.  But obviously, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, Ohio, Florida, Missouri and to a lesser degree Virginia, Arkansas, West Va seem to be the states that a solid dem victory would turn.
