The OH Dems did elect an African American to the OH Supreme Court I think if anyone can correct me on this ?

Ohio is moving hard right. Richard Cordray was one of the strongest candidates they could have put up, and he still lost to Mike DeWine. As soon as Sherrod Brown leaves the Senate, that seat is Safe R.

In other words, you think Brown will get Nelson'd ?

Just a random point: Since 1991, Ohio only once elected a Democratic governor. That was Ted Strickland in 2006 when his Republican predecessor had a massive corruption scandal and an approval rating in the single digits (the lowest on gubernatorial record) while Democrats had a good night nationally. And Strickland was voted out of office four years later, even though it was closer than 2018 in a Republican wave year.

In other words, the OH Dems have become the FL Dems 2.0 ? Cursed ?
