Immigrants to Canada who have spent a greater proportion of their lives in Canada have a greater risk of developing multiple sclerosis (MS) than people who have spent a smaller proportion of their lives there, according to a new study. The study does not prove that an increased proportion of life in Canada causes MS; it only shows an association.
likely due to the fact that the higher the latitude you live in, the higher rates of MS.  cite

Then presumably the increased chance of multiple sclerosis would apply only to immigrants from countries of a lower latitude than Canada? Granted, this describes most recent immigrants to Canada, but there are still plenty of European immigrants from similar or higher latitude than Canada.
might depend on the diet of the people in question due to the correlation with Vitamin D deficiency

So, what are you trying to get at it here? Do you think we should we be telling immigrants to go home because they're going to get MS?
me?  I'm just a reporter of interesting facts here.
