AFAIK, United doesn't train new pilots, how in the hell can any policies they put in place change the ratio of men vs women if all they are doing is hiring the best available pilots?

"pilot" is one of the most dangerous jobs (2nd in this article), women, ya know, like men, don't like to do dangerous work if they don't have to.  Men are more apt to feel like they "have to" because men are dumb.  As proof, the most dangerous jobs are are almost exclusively made out of jobs that are heavily skewed to men.  Gross and hard jobs too.  Is it the "Good Ole Boy Network" that keeps women out of the Port-o-Potty cleaning industry?

I can promise you, the mainstream media will never, ever do a story on conservatives complaining about a Mining or Lineman CEO focusing on DEI policies implying "too many men".

Commercial air line pilot is a pretty safe job. Its really smaller plane pilots especially stuff like rescue planes and the like.
correct, and before you get to be a commercial airline pilot, you have to get the hours up by doing the more dangerous types of flying.

not some pseudoscience that testosterone makes you speed of whatever
did you really just handwave away the idea that having more testosterone in one's system might make them drive faster on average than someone who doesn't?  As if the idea is ludicrous?  A hormone that is associated with increased aggression, sex drive, dominance, courtship display, and a wide range of behavioral characteristics couldn't possibly have an affect on how fast someone drives?

Cool. Meanwhile the arguments here have been that basically a combination of natural biology and the Invisible Hand of the market is responsible for a minute share of pilot and other good paying positions being female, even after Frank provided an extensive list of links to class action lawsuits over discrimination in those fields. Ah yes, the lawyers. We Wiley hypnotizing lawyers convince the plaintiffs to take up these causes and truly it was a blow against business efficiency.
does the existence of a handful of lawsuits proves something is common place?  Someone couldn't find the same number of lawsuits over something that rarely happens?

Who said equal? Just a 90-10 split is problematic. Ofc.
what ratio would you be happy with?  What ratio would a feminist organization be happy with?  Should the ratio be the same for lumberjacks and pipe fitters?  Garbage men and the people who change the light bulbs on top of super tall things?  or are you like an earlier redavatar and only think "high profile jobs" should be regendered?  (and since you seemed to have missed it..) Does the existence of a handful of lawsuits proves something is common place?
