US to withdraw from 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty

The US is now "verbally threatening" to place short-range nuclear missiles in some central/eastern NATO nations to counteract this new Russian threat to Europe.
My question is which nations will allow this? Most European nations (their citizenry) no longer want US nuclear weaponry within their borders.
(Remember the days of massive protesting.)

perhaps the countries that we turned our back on for 50 years (the Baltics, Poland) would?  They remember the Russians funking their sh**t up, the Krauts, Frenchies, Tommys and Trumps have forgotten that the Russians are our enemies.

I've read on another board that the real reason for the withdraw (for both Russia and the US) was to counter the PRC (though Russia always had a loophole with regards to China).  *I'm* not saying that is what's going on, just putting it out there.

I wonder why Bush 43 didn't withdraw from the INF treaty. I'd think that Cheney and Rumsfeld would be eager to escape from the treaty.

why do you think Rummy and Dick would want to get rid of the treaty?  Because they are cartoonishly evil?  Russia didn't start actually breaking it until Obama.
