Its an incredibly small minor change in the lives of people which will have a dramatic impact on our environment.

The vast majority of straws end up in landfills or recycling centers.  Plastic straws make up a tiny fraction of garbage.

I like the issue because it really separates people with a brain from people who just want to do "something".  People that want to do "something" suck ass, especially the ones that don't even act like they care what other people have to say on it.
