Kevin Smith's Dogma? Many horror movies start with the premise that the Christian God is real (and usually Catholic) and faith is what saves the day in the end (unless the writer is lazy and we just get a generic deus ex machina type thing).
but the answer to your question has been given. They are normally marketed to a certain type of Christian, and you ain't it. That's like half your "thing", being the hipster Christian. Nothing wrong with it, you be you....but don't expect mainstream things to be marketed to you. (and why would you want that? Nothing cool can go mainstream and stay cool. Mainstream kills cool things. Yes, that is hyperbolic and there are exceptions.)
