EDIT: For the record, I don't understand the point of commencement speakers and assumed it was simply we were assigned to suffer through, much like the rest of the ceremony. It matters little what varieties of fanaticism they embrace, their mere presence already implies their support of student torture.

it's gotten out of hand.  Yes, children are people, but they ain't "special" people...just little and slightly more ignorant than the rest of us.  They ain't important, I don't know why we thought it was a good idea to let them find that out all on their own when they're 24.  AND gave them as little experience at failure in the mean time so they have no idea how to handle the bombshell.  It's no wonder so many think it's totally cool to scream at people they don't agree with until they get their way.
