Like people that accept Jesus into their hearts as adults, they seem to be the most active and "into it".  You've never met an immigrant that LOVED America?  Like way more than most Americans that love America?  I've met quite a few.  Sure some of it may be like Apu in that episode where he was going to get deported.  "The NY Mets are my favorite squadron!"  But a lot of it is genuine.
