If you buy it for the performance, FF.  If you buy it to increase your status, HP.

924? That's just a VW Smiley  (I kid, I like them)  A 924 would not be a good first car, especially for a boy.  That's why God made Civics and Corollas.  Low power and FWD.  One should ease into the joys of RWD, and only when ready.  Most people are never ready.

I did two St.Louis winters in an 82 RX7, a little lighter, a little less power, but the same problems.  I thought it was fun.  I did drive another 82 here in Omaha for a winter or two, but I had a Subaru Justy as a second car and it was my winter beater (except when it was broken).  Obviously it's good to have a proper snow car for the snow, because while it might be fun, it's also dangerous and sometimes just impossible in fun cars like 924s and RX7s.

All the cars I've owned have been RWD, lol
Lucky.  Marriage/fatherhood forced me into more practical cars, but now that I'm nearly done with that malarkey I'm getting sideways again Cool
