Why do his defenders always focus on the whores and ignore the part where he really really hates poor people...errr "poors".  Do you ignore him when he posts about wanting to kill tens of thousands just to keep horrible people in power?

You're not a crank, except that the solution isn't democracy, its simply to get Mubarak and friends to mow them down.  Mow them down by the tens of thousands, with bunker busters going off in urban centers.  Get serious.

edit-I do appreciate the fact that he is one of the best at making the left look stupid (I can't think of anyone better) and for that, I thank you.

It's not like he has any real power does he? He posts on the internet. He proposed feeding Christians to lions before, and I am a Christian. Who cares. And he is quite hilarious.

I love the time he said he wears a "Death Cab For Cutey" shirt that he found in Thailand for a buck even though he's never heard their music. The way he mispelled the band name makes it even better. I laugh my ass off at the thought of this guy in a Death Cab For Cutie shirt visiting a Thai brothel. It was the main thing I thought about in my thread about which actor should play him in a movie.

yeah yeah....he's a bigot and hates poor people, yet many on the left like him.  You can spin it that he's powerless and does silly things for your amusement.  You can spin it that he's smart enough to suggest "poors" keep their steady job and not chase after magic brass rings, but none of it is going to change the fact that he is a bigot and hates poor people.  Something the left likes to rally against.  It's very confusing to those of us on the outside.

You know, it's no so much opebo that I have a problem with...it's the fact that the majority of the Left on this site worships the sick, arrogant chickenhawk. Even if he is just a persona, it doesn't change the fact that he has a cult of his very own.

opebo himself is a pretty typical one trick pony (ok, two trick pony) troll, which are very common on the interwebs.  It's the fanboys that makes it painful to watch.  At least there are some on the left that understand he does their side a great disservice everytime he opens his mouth.  Also, it seems most of his fanboys view him more as a clown than a sage.
