The following has occured since 2000 until 2016:

42. Clinton/Gore
43. Bush/Cheney
44. Kerry/Clinton/Clark
45. Clark/Rendell
46. Giuliani/Rice
47. Rice/Owens

The following presidents have also died:
Carter
Ford
Kerry

Only Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, Clark, Giuliani and Reagan are left. Reagan is now 105 years old.

Rice has won her own term over Rendell/Edwards. Now, since she declined re-election, Owens/Inhofe is running against Edwards/Warner. Owens loses to Edwards 230 to 308. Rice had an uneventful term. What will the new President Edwards bring?

President John Edwards

On Election Day 2016, everyone was expecting an Edwards victory. Indeed, Senator Edwards was called on by VP Owens as President-elect Edwards. Edwards/Warner defeated Owens/Inhofe by a 308 to 230 vote. As President Rice left office, President Edwards was liked by many Republicans for supporting the death penalty and even fighting terror after a March 16, 2017 attack on a NYC subway. Nevertheless, President Edwards had 85% approval ratings for a week stright. As VP, Mark Warner was not as popular as was first thought. Vice President Warner never seemed happy and lost his approval by April 2018 to 10%. Amazingly unexpected, President Edwards sent a civilian to the moon live on June 13, 2019. He was a great president. He had a very nice way about him. Now pushing 65, President Edwards was on fork in the road, run for re-election, or not. He ran against Bill Owens again. He decided not to drop VP Warner, and had a 60% to 40% lead over Former VP Owens. But by mid to late 2020, the economy was it's worse in a long time. Inflation was high, and Owens promised relief. Jogging a 43% approval rating, and seeming tired, VP Owens swooped President Edwards out of office by a huge 418 to 120 vote margin. Owens/Coleman won a huge landslide, but President Edwards is remembered as a great leader.

I think Bush will really get 356 electoral votes, yet my story is covering as many presidents as possible, so yes I had bush lose (SLAP MYSELF) but I really expect a landslide win for Bush. Good story though.

Presidents I have covered:

43. Bush/Cheney-- Cheney dies on May 5, 2011
44. Kerry/Clinton/Clark-- Kerry died on November 5, 2005
45. Clark/Rendell--Clark died on December 2, 2019
46. Giuliani/Rice-- Giuliani dies on June 29, 2020
47. Rice/Owens-- Ford dies on April 18, 2018
48. Edwards/Warner-- Rendell dies on October 5, 2020
49. Owens/Coleman-- Bush 41 dies on March 4, 2021
Only ex-presidents left living are:
Reagan (109 years old)
Clinton (74 years old)
Bush 43 (74 years old)
Rice (68 years old)
Reagan has become known as the God of the Republican Party, always staying alive.

Owens (now 70 years old) and Coleman (71 years old) represented a good old fashined ticket. Presidents have happened. Election, VP took over, death, war. Yet we will always have Democrat and Republican and maybe even an independent leader someday.
The End
