On results...

Expect rural Nevada to be the first to come in. We should see whether Edwards is really a player right off the bat because his strength is supposedly in rural area's. Then expect the medium-to-large cities to come in along with the suburbs. (Reno, Carson City, Henderson, Elko, Mesquite, Boulder City) Obama should do relatively well here because these are more moderate-right leaning area's. Las Vegas will likely be last to come in. Expect Hillary to do well in the Latino North and South LV, While Obama should win Western Las Vegas (Large African-American Population) along with the at-large precincts in Central LV. They should come in last.

Of course, all will depend on who turns out and in what area's.
Do you know where they have a site, where there is a map of results?

Politico and the NY Times have had good maps in the other primaries and caucuses this year.

Results from Washoe County are in:
Senator Hillary Clinton: 20%
Senator John Edwards: 0%
Senator Mike Gravel: 0%
Congressman Dennis Kucinich: 0%
Senator Barack Obama: 0%
Uncommitted: 0%

Pointless, but I just wanted to post something.

Whaaa? They haven't even started caucusing yet?

Nevada is in the Pacific time zone and doors open at 11:30. Caucusing begins at noon. So another 15 minutes or 45 minutes before they "start".

It appears the caucuses are a rather raucous affair here.

The Clinton and Obama supporters are getting kind of rough with each other in one of the at-large caucus sites.

Exit polling indicates it'll finish something along the lines of:

Clinton: 49%
Obama: 34%
Edwards: 12%
Kucinich: 3%

Entrance/exit, same thing. I've been using them interchangeably.

Obama won Washoe according to the entrance poll.

The at-large caucus that CNN is broadcasting had it 79 Clinton, 82 Obama, 2 Edwards, 2 Uncommitted and 1 Gravel. Not exactly an Obama stronghold at least in this one.

Clearly no one knows how to poll Nevada... except for Zogby:

Last Nevada Poll
Clinton: 45%
Obama: 39%
Edwards: 6%

Lol @ at how the Democrats started three hours later but have 15% more of their precincts reporting than the Republicans.

She only leads with just under 500 votes...LAYUM

Those aren't votes, they're county delegates. Her actual vote total was much, much higher.

This may have already been mentioned, but the final delegate estimate was 13 for Clinton and 12 for Obama.

I've not really been paying much attention to the overall figures so bear with me but... did Edwards just finish behind Kucinich?

No. He did not.

Here's something from the WTF Files... in Clark County a county delegate was won by someone who is simply defined on the Nevada Democrats' website as "Other". We know it wasn't Kucinich, Gravel or Uncommitted. Who was it?

Richardson, maybe?

Perhaps. It came from Clark 4392 precinct, the other four delegates there went for Clinton. I'll try to figure out where that precinct is located.

The precinct is located in the North/Central part of Las Vegas itself, near I-15 and Owens Avenue/North Main Street. I don't know enough about the racial or financial demographics of the area to fathom a guess though... from what I can tell on Google Earth it looks middle class or lower middle class.

2. What does exit polling tell us about race as a factor?

If Obama can't make large inroads with White voters and especially Latino voters within the next week and a half there is no realistic path to him winning the nomination.
