Rand Paul thinks he's saving liberty and preventing the impending collapse of society and such. I don't really see how a gubernatorial run fits into that. When he runs and loses in 2016 he'll probably start a think tank or a PAC. Maybe he'll run for McConnell's seat when he finally retires.
