So what's the deal with the school superintendant race? Kathy Cox resigned and her successor didn't get on the ballot as an independent. Does that mean the Dems are going to win by default, or what?

So now that the primaries are mostly done, do the Dems have a prayer at winning anything statewide? Putting aside the governor's mansion for now.
