Why do you think the benefits of school vouchers outweigh the costs, when it's VERY very clear that the children in poor communities will do even worse when students abandon their schools? Is it more important that middle class kids get as good of an education as possible, even when it f__ks over the poor kids and gives them an even worse education?

Poor Families are eligible to receive Vouchers too

So all the students, poor and not poor, will be able to move out of the bad schools and move to better schools?

Yes

So the bad schools will have zero students and close down. Why would the government authorize such a program if it would close a bunch of schools?

I generally don’t see the point why the public vs private matters as much as ensuring every kid gets a good education.

Private schools and religious schools can teach things that the government believes aren't true, being paid for by taxpayers, under a voucher system. That would by definition not be considered "a good education", according to the government funding it.
