I agree with Fuzzy Bear that I would never want a non-believer teaching the Bible to my children. But, at the same time, it is a little perplexing why any Christian would choose to send their children to receive a secular education at a public school (or non-religious private school). What good does it do to instill Biblical values at home if our kids will be taught a different set of values at school.
Every church should be focusing on making Christian education available to all children, instead of relying on public schools.
Why do kids need to learn english, math, science, history, phys ed and tech classes in a religious way? I literally don't understand why they can't just be christians that learn the bible at home and at church and learn Shakespeare and trigonometry at school. Trying to create a safe space where every aspect of your kid's life is christian-oriented seems cult-ish to me.
