This is one of the worst polls for Democrats that I've seen in a while. It's still hard for me to see Donald Trump winning a 1980 landslide, because I can't think of a single person who likes the guy, but this looks like it could go downhill very quickly.
Richard Nixon in 1972 had a long list of accomplishments in foreign policy, most notably opening up to China. He also faced an opponent who wanted to slash defense spending during the Cold War, which meant his opponent's election was a credible threat to national security and could have handed the Soviets a competitive advantage.
