1. This poll about Romney being preferred to Patrick as Governor is probably correct, though the margin is open to question. Weighting MA polls is hard because of the meaninglessness of party registration, and very fluid party identification(ie. the make up of Independents ideologically changes year to year)
2. This says far more about Patrick than it does about Romney. Write me and my family down as four voters who would prefer Romney over Patrick, but would vote for a whole list of people from either party before holding our nose for either of them. I think suffolk's poll from a few months ago on his favorable was pretty damning, showing him still in the 30s. That said, Suffolk tends to lean left a bit in MA.
