I think this is very possible. We're hearing less about the SALT cap and more about Wal*Mart raising wages and AT&T giving bonuses these days.

It depends upon the methodology of polling -- manner of asking questions (a synthesized voice is neutral, but often offensive), the sorts of questions asked, and perhaps the agenda.

True, but even setting aside the gap in baselines, the swings are going +/- 3-4 points in different directions! Madness.

Be careful about rooting for the shutdown. It's not a good thing to shutdown the Government of America over the concerns of foreigners who are inconsequential to American life.
