Don't feel bad for Cantor. He may never be the first Jewish speaker of the House, but he's going to become insanely rich earlier in his career than anticipated.

Isn't he already insanely rich?

It looks like he's in the low-to-mid 9 figures, which makes him quite comfortably rich by U.S. standards but only middle class in terms of Congressmen. He should be able to increase that by 5-10x as a lobbyist.

You must have added a few digits to that, because "low-to-mid 9 figures" would be in the hundreds of millions, i.e. Mitt Romney money.  Unless you're counting the numbers after the decimal point?
