Timmer was saying that it's unlikely a foreigner would know that Oregon is one of the top states in the country for unemployment. It's was in the top 5 in 2009, not sure if that's true now but it's still bad. Given all the press that CA, AZ, NV, and FL have gotten for their unemployment rates, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume people might not know OR is in the same boat. Few Americans would know it.
