I'm pretty strongly opposed to this; can anyone convince me why we should be breaking previously made commitments?

I'm sorry, is cocaine being defended here?  Jesus Christ people.  Cocaine is a terrible, terrible drug, that should never have been legalized in the first place.

It's a burden I'm willing to take up.  Cocaine should not be legal, ever.

I'm surprised we're talking about whether or not hard drugs should be legalized, rather than how we can help addicts without putting them in the company of rapists and murderers.

That's another step, Scott.  I absolutely agree that a cocaine addict is not the same as a rapist.  But to let that dissuade us from banning the drug doesn't hold weight to me.

If you'd prefer, Scott, we can put this all into one bill.  I don't want regions deciding about cocaine - it shouldn't be legal anywhere.  I was planning to write out multiple bills, but an omnibus bill isn't offensive to me either.

Police already have to provide evidence before you can be arrested on drug charges. You can't just be arrested and searched for no reason or if the police officer simply "suspects it" and cannot provide more, like undercover evidence or anonymous tips. Even if you are, whatever evidence they gather against you will be thrown out if it is an illegal arrest. I don't know what the constitution says in Atlasia, but in the US, we do have 5th and 14th amendment protections.

Did you just finish an exam in con law/criminal law?  Wink

You're the one who made the statement, Nappy.  The burden is on you.

Again, I find it hard to believe that people are minimizing the danger of cocaine.  Good Lord people.
