Meh. Didn't Bill Buckley support one of Buchanan's presidential runs, too?

Not as far as I know.  If he did, also gross.
Yes, but the point is Buckley later became an opponent of Buchanan as the latter's quasi-fascism became more and more known. On the surface, Buchanan sounds like a good small government conservative. Palin probably had a similar experience.

Never. Buckley had no time for Jew haters, and in fact he wrote a column concluding that Pat was probably of that ilk. This is disturbing, but I would be amazed if Palin actually voted for Pat in 2000. If she did, my team is in BIG trouble I think.
National Review did support Buchanan in 1992. See, for example, this March 20, 1992, editorial. I'm not sure whether Buckley approved of his magazine's endorsement considering he was no longer editor, but I am not aware of any expression of disapproval from Buckley's part at the time.

In any case, I think Palin's support for Buchanan is far from settled.

This is not going to help McCain make inroads among Jewish voters. They know about Buchanan.
How about you actually read the thread before posting?
