Possible he gets an offer yes, but far from certain. Cuomo could very well be nominated for Attorney General or Chief of Staff. I'm actually rooting for this because he would a great job in DC and Kathy Hochul would become New York's first female governor. If Williams actually runs, it would be a rematch of the 2018 lieutenant gubernatorial primary. Hochul would be highly favored I guess unless she makes major errors, which I doubt. She'd be great.

Would Cuomo make a good AG?

How do you see a Hochul vs Leticia James primary shaping up?

Kathy Hochul wins the primary. She then wins the general elections with around 51-52% of the vote.

Awful take. She will easily win the general. No Democrat would lose the general--not even Cuomo.

It's not 1994 anymore, no Republican has a chance in a deep blue state with modern polarization. This would be like a Democrat winning the Utah governor's race.

I hope she doesn't run. Hochul deserves a chance. I think the party is going to rally behind her and James will run next time around.

There is no next time around for James.  Both she and Hochul are the same age, and there are no term limits in New York.  As long as Hochul serves in even a semi-competent fashion, she's going to be governor until she decides to retire, in 2034 at the earliest.  Both she and James will be 76 that year.  Let's face it--the only opportunity James will have for career advancement will be as a cabinet member in Biden's or Harris's administration.
