Who are some potential first-time governors, of either party, who are not white guys? I'm talking about people who have a plausible shot at being elected.

To start off, I'd say:

Anthony Brown, Maryland
Angel Taveras, Rhode Island
Gina Raimondo, Rhode Island
Mary Burke, Wisconsin
Allyson Schwartz, Pennsylvania
Martha Coakley, Massachusetts

And less likely but not impossible:

Wendy Davis, Texas
Annette Dubas, Nebraska
Debra Hobbs, Arkansas
Heather Mizeur, Maryland
Juliette Kayyem, Massachusetts
Nan Rich, Florida
Linda Lopez, New Mexico
Kathleen McGinty, Pennsylvania
Abel Maldonado, California
