Unlike Atlasia v. Benconstine, I do not believe Josh and Devilman voted in the same election

Being registered at the same time, however, is just as bad.

As far as I know it's not like he used his old account at all during that period for any purpose. So he wasn't try to committ voter fraud, just keep it a secret that he really was Josh.

Perhaps, but it's still against the law to do so as far as I remember. Registering to vote clearly represents an intent to vote.

It's against the law to register an account other than your primary account. By the time he registered as Dan that had become his primary account.

According to the Attorney General, the two accounts were registered at the same time for several weeks, meaning, if the AG's assessment is correct, Josh did indeed commit voter fraud when he registered Dan while Josh, his primary identity, was still registered.

The procedure from previous cases has been this:

1. AG starts the Court thread
2. AG serves notice on the defendant by means of a PM which is cced to Court personnel. At this point the AG should explicitly list the rights of the defendant, especially to counsel.
3. Court assigns Counsel if requested
4. Court directs defendant to enter plea
5. Court selects jury if necessary
6. AG presents prosecution case
7. Defense presents case.
8. Jury votes.
9. Sentencing if necessary.
10. Appeals procedures outlined by the Court

I would strongly urge all Atlasians not to discuss the details of this case in this thread - also by openly discussing facts, you compromise your ability to serve on a jury if called.

Well honestly, that wouldn't happen if the justices actually got the court case started in a reasonable time. Wink
