It's actually been a fair bit more, lately. Kids in New York have caught it and now there are a couple cases in Kansas, but pretty much every news source is saying the cases are mild and some have already recovered quickly without the need for anti-virals.

Not exactly the same thing, no, but so far (knock on wood, everyone) literally every single case in the U.S. has been mild. I'm beginning to think certain people in Mexico didn't seek or get proper treatment leading to exaggerated claims of danger.
