You sure know how to lay foundation for a bill's improvement. Tongue

I'd simply like to mention (without getting too deep into looking into this topic again) that unemployment and food stamp benefits are crucial and very effective stimulus means. The unemployment extensions in this bill are good, but 5% expansion of food stamp benefits isn't very much when the average pay out is in the 300-375 dollars-ish range. What does 20 or so extra dollars help?

Consider something like a temporary 25% expansion of food stamp benefits, that'd be much more useful for both families and the economy.

Following up on my initial comment in this thread, what's the status of the food stamps expansion in this bill as of now?
