It is not in fact "populist" to terrorize a private company for speaking out against a law, it's fascist. Both of them are terrible, but I think Trump is dumber and more unpredictable while DeSantis is crueler.
It’s not fascist to take away the special privileges Disney enjoyed for decades and stop them from trying to find loopholes to keep it . Having special privileges by definition is not the free market and they absolutely should be stripped of them .
Both the granting and taking away of privileges to the wealthy like this is fascist. Both can be true. It’s not even the question about the privileges. It’s about excessive entanglement of industry and the state as means of creating a power structure that oppresses those who are required to participate in society. That’s fascist.
