IF it's accurate that this guy is FDNY, and if the union protects him from any consequence of this sick little power trip, I think it's time for an end to the police/fire unions in NYC, at least in their current form and current leadership. I'm as pro-union as they come, but the number of horrible officers who have been kept on the streets by the NYPD is ridiculous. IIRC the officer who choked a man to death for selling loose cigarettes ended up getting off scott free.

Honestly, no government entity should have collective bargaining power.

Private companies on the other hand? Those unions should be much stronger than they are now.
