That and there hasn't been any police brutality, either. It could just be that Trump has sucked all the Oxygen from the room?

Because the absolute numbers are so low that statistical noise is a dominating factor. Plus media attention, and the media has been busy telling us about Trump.

This. It used to be that the media was slow, it would report any firearm homicide as a "shooting".

Young white men are less angry with a white man as POTUS.

For real though. I think that's a big reason.

Yes, this definitely stopped those angry young white men who could have committed more incidents like the ones they perpetrated in Orlando, San Bernardino, Nice, etc.

or Aurora, Connectcut, Colorado Springs, or Tuscon.

but seriously. Why isn't Syria or tge Chicago crime wave beibg reported on? Trump Care, Trump's unprofessionalism,  and the Russian conspiracy are all that anyone is talking about.

Clearly one of those was political, but I imagine a fire-breathing President like Trump would actually rile anti-abortion violence up more indirectly.

Meanwhile, do you actually think Holmes, Lanza, or Loughner's shootings would have been influenced at all by who was President? Two of them were severely mentally ill with personal problems that led them to attack a civilian target, and the third was a YouTube conspirator obsessed with the Congresswoman he shot.

A lot of these shooters are like that but yeah... I don't think it has really stopped.
