Why are Democrats always such pushovers?

I reckon Democrats are not pushovers so much as many of them have different values than many Republicans, and are relatively less likely to have strong RWA tendencies or be social dominators.

Pretty much. The rapist (he who gets  the girl that the Democrat gives up on by simply keeping  on asking as she becomes more and more under the influence) who works out in the Affliction Tshirt at the gym is more likely to be Republican than Democrat. Same thing with the fat kid at the party who eats the last peice of pizza. Of course, it could just be someone coming off as inconsiderate because they are having a lapse in  their very limited attention scope and span.

Well, the funny thing is that the socons have accomplished quite little in the last 40 years despite, until recently, being increasingly powerful. Abortion is legal and is generally debated like gun control is (mainly debates about extreme and rare practices and products, administrative fees and ethics examinations). Gay marriage now is legal for about a quarter of the population from it being where even gay dating could be something you could get a month's detention and/or a ticket for. There are now people that have benefitted from organs from stem cells. Marijuana is now a first-tier issue.  I could go on like this.

The socons aren't powerful, but those in charge of them have basically bankrupted our country and might be on the verge of making it ungovernable with it now being impossible to raise taxes and perhaps impossible to get any new social program or new revenue source to pass constitutional muster. I think beyond basic personas, each party is based on a set of leaders and follower types.

 For example, the guy in the Affliction T-shirt or the Fat Kid's girl friend might be the type of girl that is your social conservative arch type. She is 6 foot tall, a size 6, a D cup, wears a lot of make up, comes from an affluent family and goes to church every Sunday Morning AND Wednesday Night...extreme antiabortion despite the fact that she's the one who would be the most affected by antiabortion laws. Affliction boy is probably like my age, still cheats on his girlfriend and probably has been physically involved with 100 girls between the ages of 14 and 26...He probably has about 4 other "girlfriends" right now.  His girlfriend is probably 18 or 19 and hes probably her first.

Me? Well, I am kind of like Brian from the Family Guy. I was "that guy" to "that girl" just like that in Florida. I didn't cheat on her, though.  I'm the pseudo intellectual accidental asshole.
