Kind of amazing that people in the Trump campaign are already throwing Pence under the bus. It still seems to me that Trump had people he really wanted who didn't want it and then he had others he was OK with who did want it but his family didn't want them and then there were others his campaign/party insiders wanted but he didn't really want, and that whole process is why he was paralyzed into inaction. I wouldn't be surprised if Manafort leaked Pence's pick as a done deal just to force the issue.

I can't wait for the tell all books and the HBO movie about the inside of the Trump campaign. I bet there is a lot of drama, infighting, and intrigue there and the VP process will surely be a highlight.

Trump immediately left the room after introducing Pence. He can't even stomach staying in the room to back his VP

I heard. Just woke up so I haven't seen it, but this was his running mate's introduction after the disaster that was yesterday? And he said he picked Pence to unite the party? Not the country? Not because he's best for the job? Wow.

And in case you weren't convinced, Pence was "his first choice" according to Trump

That's just standard.  They say to always open with a joke.

More behind the scenes stuff, plus more indications that Team Christie thought they had this in the bag...

I wonder if all this means that we will probably not see Christie as much (or any) with trump on the campaign trail.
Thoughts ?

well reports are that Trump will also name cabinet picks at the convention, including spots for Christie and Gingrich, so they don't go home empty handed.
