Well another way of looking at it is...Female GM CEO paid 1/3 less than male Ford CEO.
But that is also not to the point. GM is no longer under Federal limits on compensation after the bailout so (shock) they are spending more in line with the market. Her sex has nothing to do with it.
Ford is doing a lot better than GM, no?
But yeah, this is more about the change in regulations for this company than anything.

my point about Ford was that it was as much a straw man argument as the OP headline. Using her sex as the main point of comparison vs. Ford's CEO was just as irrelevant as the previous GM CEO. I was just pointing out that one can attempt to make it about sex when the reality is clearly something different.
