Trump's Scotland trip

This reminds me vaguely of when Cain was Cainpaigning ( Couldn't resist ) in states that held their primary's long after Super Tuesday while he was leading in the polls everywhere.

Normally I'd think it was a foolish strategy, but everything Trump has done so far has worked out for him, so maybe this actually impresses his fans. He could frame it as being able to make real deals while the "do nothings" in Washington can't even pass simple laws.
