Josh Hawley claims that "woke capitalists" are into Marxism

If Marxism means sending all out jobs to "Marxist" countries like China and Vietnam, then yes.

Scare quotes are definitely necessary. Because having worked with a number of Vietnamese immigrants, it's difficult to imagine a group more diametrically at odds with the precepts of Marxism. And we aren't talking about political dissidents — no, these folks were raised with a healthy respect for Uncle Ho.

Hawley's problem is that he fully supports his party's pro-corporate agenda. So in terms of actually delivering for the white working-class, he can't offer his constituents anything approaching the Democratic agenda. Instead, he has to rely on fear and resentment — i.e., the fear of insidious "Marxists." Hawley's constituents are justifiably distrustful of moneyed elites. Unfortunately, Hawley is unwilling to cease rubber-stamping the policy preferences of the plutocrats. So what's left? Pretend the folks upon which I keep lavishing largesse are part of some malevolent cabal that I actually oppose. Not really, but my voters are probably dumb enough to swallow it.
