You speak the truth.

Mondale > Carter
Bush > Reagan
Coolidge > Harding
Gore (circa 1990s) > Clinton
Nixon > Eisenhower
I'm not sure how Mondale would be better. Carter was at least a moderate to conservative with some good ideas even if he had no idea how to get them through Congress. Mondale was just a run of the mill Liberal, exactly what America didn't need in the late '70s. And Ike's Presidency would be hard to improve upon except in areas which Nixon definitely wouldn't have stuck his neck out on (more aggressive anti-Segregation efforts & condemning McCarthyism).

Other than that I agree with your list though.
